The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Multi-Site Sommelier to lead, develop and mentor our venue sommeliers while ensuring the delivery of our group beverage strategy. This pivotal role focuses on staff development, operational excellence, and aligning our wine programs across multiple venues in Fortitude Valley. You will work closely with venue General Managers and report to the Group Beverage Director to ensure consistent high standards in wine service, stock control, compliance, and financial performance.

• Proven experience in a senior or multi-site sommelier role, with strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop high-performing wine teams
• Ability to execute a group-wide wine strategy while maintaining consistency, quality, and alignment with each venue's unique identity
• Strong collaboration skills, working closely with General Managers and beverage leads to integrate wine offerings seamlessly into overall venue operations
• Solid knowledge of wine service standards, cellar management, procurement, and stock control, including the use of systems like Lightyear and OrderMate
• Demonstrated business acumen with experience managing budgets, driving financial performance, and maintaining confidentiality around targets and deals
• In-depth understanding of liquor licensing compliance, OH&S regulations, and a proactive approach to maintaining safe, compliant workplaces
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a positive, feedback-driven culture across teams
• Strong time management and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced, multi-venue environment
