The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Events Manager to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of event coordination, supporting the Reservations & Events Department Head, and leading a talented team to deliver flawless, high-quality guest experiences. This role will involve taking on a leadership and mentorship position, ensuring the team is well supported and that operations run smoothly in the absence of the Head of Department.As the Senior Events Manager, you will be pivotal in overseeing a busy and diverse events calendar, ensuring that each event reflects Anyday, and that guests leave with lasting memories. Available to work a Monday–Friday roster, with flexibility to occasionally adjust hours based on event needs. Evenings, weekends and holiday work as required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event Coordination: Manage and oversee all event logistics, from initial client inquiry to event execution. This includes ensuring that all event details are communicated clearly to internal teams (kitchen, front-of-house, AV, etc.)
  • Team Leadership: Support and lead the events team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship. Ensure the team is motivated, well-prepared, and equipped to handle each event.
  • Support the Head of Department: Assist the Head of Department with high-level planning and strategy, offering insight on event trends, guest feedback, and operational efficiencies.
  • Guest Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with guests to ensure events are tailored to their vision and expectations. Provide consistent communication and updates throughout the event planning process.
  • Budget Management: Work with the Head of the Department to develop event budgets, ensuring cost control, tracking, and reporting on all event spends and  expenditures.
  • Wider team Management: Schedule, oversee, and delegate tasks to wider team, ensuring smooth service delivery during each event.
  • Problem Solving: Act as the main point of contact during events, troubleshooting and resolving any last-minute issues that arise to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Post-Event Feedback & Reporting: Oversee post-event evaluations and ensure feedback is shared with the team. Assist in refining event processes based on guest experiences and event performance.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure that all events adhere to Anyday’s operational procedures and standards.
  • Greet guests at venue tours, site visits, meetings and event day to ensure a seamless experience. 
  • Support the wider team with guest and reservation management, including tasks, reporting and phone, email and online booking handling. 

 

Who You Are

  • Experienced: At least 3–5 years of event management experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, successful events in a hospitality or venue setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in leading and managing a team, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide team members to achieve their best.
  • Guest-Focused: Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the event is planned and executed to the highest standards.
  • Problem Solver: Quick thinker, able to address challenges and unexpected situations with calm, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with event management and booking software (e.g., Tripleseat. Sevenroms  etc.).
  • Organised: Ability to manage multiple events and priorities, while maintaining a clear focus on each task.
