About Agnes 

Set in a heritage building in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, Agnes is an experience built around the elemental art of wood-fired cooking—no gas, no electricity, just flame. Set across three thoughtfully designed levels, including a main dining room, wine bar and terrace, Agnes celebrates creativity, craftsmanship and seasonal produce. Our meticulously curated beverage program—featuring a deep, evolving wine cellar, thoughtful cocktails and rare spirits—complements the bold flavours of our open-fire menu.

The Role

Agnes is looking for a casual kitchen hand to join the team at our woodfire-led venue in Fortitude Valley. You will play a vital support role in the kitchen, helping to maintain the flow of service through cleanliness, organisation, and teamwork. This role is suited to someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to be part of a focused and high-performing team.

• Positive attitude in a team environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically active role
• Willingness to perform cleaning and lifting tasks as needed
• Food Safety certificate required or willingness to obtain one
• Previous kitchen experience is highly regarded
• Suitable for those on a student visa or seeking part-time casual work
