Referral Bonus Reminder
Great People Know Great People!
Our Referral Program is designed to reward team members who introduce talented, like-minded people to Anyday. If you know someone who would be a great fit in one of our venues or departments, refer them and earn up to $1,000.
How It Works
- Management Roles (Asst. Manager & Above): $1,000
- $500 at 6 months
- $500 at 12 months
- All Other Roles: $500
- $250 at 3 months
- $250 at 6 months
Who Can Refer
Everyone is eligible to refer - front and back of house - except Senior Leadership Team roles and above. Leaders (Team Leader to Senior People Leader) may refer as long as the candidate joins a venue/area outside their own. This ensures fairness and keeps the process transparent.

This Week’s Spotlight:
Marvin Agpawan - Head Chef, hôntô
Tell us about your role!
Being a Head Chef comes with a lot of responsibility, not just running a restaurant but truly looking after the people who make it all happen. For me, the role goes much deeper than managing service. It’s about being there for the team, both professionally and personally. I try to give my chefs genuine time, check in with them properly, hear what’s going on in their lives and make sure they feel supported.
We spend so much time together in this industry, so the kitchen really becomes a family.
I’ve been with Anyday for about 4 - 5 years now. Funny enough, when I started I barely had experience working with fish but I was looking to expand my skills. The rest is history.
What’s your favourite thing about being a part of Anyday?
Anyday really looks after their people. There’s a lot of investment in training, especially for leaders. There’s a real encouragement to think outside the box, whether that’s in managing a team, the restaurant, or even managing yourself. They give you the guidance you need to be independent and self-sufficient.
And of course, the culture is awesome. I know there are soccer sessions on Mondays and I reckon we should add some combat sports in there too. More team bonding is always a win!
Where can we find you on your days off?
Definitely in the jiujitsu gym I’ve set up in my garage! I’ve been training for about eight years now on and off and honestly I wish I got into it sooner because it’s made such a positive impact on my life.
Otherwise, I’m at the park with my son. He’s turning two soon, so we’re headed to the water park for a play.
What’s your go-to dish to prepare for friends and family?
Sisig - it’s a classic Filipino dish. It’s crispy pork mixed with pork liver and traditionally pig brain (or mayo if you’re easing people into it!) It’s usually served as an appetizer in the Philippines, especially when you’re having a drink.
Your proudest career achievement so far?
Becoming Head Chef at hôntô and getting to work with the incredible people around me. When Christie and Kevin joined, it felt like a real refresh for the venue with more of a blended, collaborative approach.
What’s one thing your team would be surprised to learn about you?
Honestly I’m an open book!
If you could trade jobs with someone at Anyday for a day, who would it be and why?
I’ve always been curious about landscaping and horticulture. I love plants and the idea of working outdoors, getting my hands dirty and doing something physical.
