We are in search of an industrious individual with proven expertise and experience in human resource management within a small team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the seamless and effective day-to-day functioning of the Human Resources department for our group. This position requires hands-on involvement, collaborating closely with operational leaders to ensure alignment of team experiences with ANYDAY's core values of integrity, humility, and warmth.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and coach managers on performance management, compliance, and team dynamics to develop leadership capabilities across the business.
- Oversee workplace health and safety practices, Awards interpretation, and employee relations, ensuring strict compliance with employment laws and industry standards.
- Regularly review, update, and implement HR policies and procedures to meet business needs and legislative requirements.
- Design and execute employee engagement programs and retention strategies that foster a culture of growth and wellbeing.
- Manage all HR administrative functions, including contract management (e.g., Letters of Offer, Position Descriptions) and confidential employee records.
- Maintain and enhance HRIS systems, ensuring accurate employee records, streamlined reporting and enhanced workflows.
- Assist the Finance team with the weekly payroll process via IntelliHR & Humanforce, ensuring accurate rostering and compliance with the Restaurant Industry Award and General Retail Industry Award.
About You
You are a proactive, solutions-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-driven environment. You bring a deep understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and workplace safety, coupled with a hands-on approach to supporting leaders and employees.
- 4+ years’ HR experience, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws, industrial relations, and WHS compliance
- Experience interpreting and applying the Restaurant Industry Award and General Retail Industry Award.
- Proven ability to lead compliance initiatives, manage HR policies, and drive retention strategies.
- Familiarity with managing and maintaining HRIS systems (Humanforce & IntelliHR experience advantageous).
- A people-first mindset with a passion for building inclusive and high-performing workplace cultures.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field required.
