The Venue 

Looking ahead to 2025 with Anyday, the group is excited to continue this journey, beginning with the transformation of Agnes Bakery. Soon to be reimagined as Idle in the lively New Farm neighbourhood, the space will offer a full café experience, going beyond its signature pastries, breads and cakes with a selection of cooked-to-order seasonal dishes and salads. A thoughtful selection of staples like house-churned butter, handcrafted sauces, marinades and more will also be available for purchase, allowing customers to bring the flavours of the Anyday kitchens into their own homes. 

 

The Role 

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our team on this opening. Our ideal Head Chef will have a passion for the hospitality industry and demonstrated experience around high-volume cafés. This position would be suited to senior chefs looking for a lifestyle change with evenings off but still passionate about providing an exceptional offering.

 

 

The Requirements 

• Demonstrated experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume environment.   
• Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and guide a team. 
• Experienced in wages, rostering, and cost control.  
• Commitment to upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety. 
• Lead and mentor the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. 
• Stay ahead of trends to drive innovation and continuously elevate the culinary offering.  
• Manage food and labour costs effectively, in line with company budgets.  
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.  
• Ensuring consistent quality control of dishes.  
• Ensuring adherence and compliance with food safety standards.  
• Experience working with charcoal is highly regarded
